After McDonald's signed Sinopec's large-scale development of auto restaurants, KFC’s large-scale development of auto restaurants has also become a topic. On January 9, the world-famous building materials retailer B&Q and the fast food brand KFC of Yum! Foods Group reached an important strategic alliance agreement in Beijing. KFC will enter the Baanju Supermarket outlets nationwide to set up a car shuttle restaurant. It is understood that the first auto restaurant in Shenzhen has been signed, will be opened in Longhua Street, Bao'an District, is planning to build a large-scale living community - Golden Town. In the future, Shenzhen’s Baanju Store will open a car restaurant as long as it meets the conditions and matures.

KFC and B&Q signed a pre-leasing agreement for the first restaurants that the two parties had already established. According to this cooperation agreement, KFC will open a car restaurant in the parking lot or store of B&Q large-scale building materials supermarket. The first batch of restaurants signed this time are located in three B&A supermarkets in Shanghai, Qingdao and Wuxi, and the preparation work for the restaurants will begin in the near future. In 2002 and 2005, KFC opened the first and second auto restaurants in Beijing and Shanghai respectively. It plans to expand the scale of auto restaurants to 100 in the next three years, in addition to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Wuxi, which are now entering. In addition to other cities such as Changchun, cities that meet the conditions for opening a car restaurant are included in the plan.

After KFC has settled in B&B, customers who go to B&Q shopping will be able to enjoy high-quality catering services “without leaving the store” and B&Q's advantages in “one-stop shopping” will be fully realized.

Su Jingyao, president of Yum! Foods China Group, stated that with the rapid development of China's economy and the increasing popularity of cars in the Chinese market, car shuttle restaurants are certainly one of the key business models that KFC has continuously developed and explored in China.
