Recently, British company Tamicare will start mass production of clothes and smart textiles. Tamicare's signature textile 3D printing technology, known as Cosyflex, is a versatile, multi-stage 3D printing process that enables the use of liquid polymers and textile fibers (according to specific needs) to make textiles that can be easily customized. This technology is a patent that the company obtained in 2005. After 10 years of arduous research and development, the company finally used it to start mass production. Their new production line has an annual capacity of 3 million pieces, and it will hardly cause any waste.

"Our Cosyflex manufacturing system enables 3D printing technology to be used for the first time on a large scale," said TamarGiloh, CEO and founder of Tamicare. "It can achieve high-density production at a much lower cost than traditional manufacturing processes."

Currently, Tamicare has signed a million-dollar agreement with several well-known sports brands, and other companies have also developed a keen interest in Cosyflex technology because it can be formed in one go without the need for sewing, cutting and other processes. Multi-material garments can even create finished shoes in just a few steps.

"Manufacturing sports shoes often requires hundreds of procedures, and Cosyflex only takes 3 steps, as well as other complex designs." Tamicare's chief technology officer said, "With it, companies can complete the entire Manufacturing doesn't have to build a global supply chain like it did before.”

In addition, Cosyflex can integrate smart technologies into textiles in new ways. At present, the application of smart materials is mostly woven onto the surface of traditional garments, and Cosyflex can print electronic components such as sensors into garments during the manufacturing process. In order to further develop intelligent applications of this technology, Tamicare has conducted joint research with Tim Harper, an expert in medical equipment, graphene and smart fabrics.
